What is Supported Living?
Supported living is intended to assist people with disabilities in their own homes, offering support that can lead to independence. People in supported living have their own homes and do not reside in group homes.
What Are Residential Support Services?
ERI’s Residential Support Services provide accommodations for individuals with developmental disabilities, and the main goal is to teach individuals how to become more independent in their home and the community. Our residential support services are carried out at the home of the individual instead of a cold, unfamiliar office.
We advocate for the independence and self-sufficiency of adults with developmental disabilities in their home and the community.
Offering these services at the home of the individual is the least restrictive setting, and they are being taught how to effectively handle day-to-day situations.

Customized Services
At ERI, we want to make sure that our clients are involved in all aspects of their own lives. Our staff can effectively teach and train them to make sound decisions that will positively impact their lives. There isn’t a cookie-cutter or one-size fits all approach to our services, and each program is customized to fit the needs and skill level of the individual.
If not already living in the community, the ERI staff will assist the individual with locating affordable housing in the community of their choice, ensuring that the individual has safe and secure housing. We will also assist the individual in housekeeping, budgeting, banking, laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping and other skills needed to successfully live in the community.
The Residential Supports/Supported Living program also encourages and assists individuals in becoming active members of their communities. Staff provides support assistance and oversight to ensure that individuals receive routine medical, psychiatric, and dental examinations and follow-up care, as needed. Assistance is also provided to individuals in many other areas of their everyday lives.

ERI’s staff of Habilitation Training Specialists (HTS) are trained to meet the state’s training requirements and matched with individuals (and families) to work toward meeting the persons’ outcomes in their customized individual plan.
